Smart Auto-Dispatch for Limousine Companies

Automatically assign the right driver to every booking using an 8-factor scoring algorithm — or use suggest mode for dispatcher review.

DrivOQ's auto-dispatch engine scores every available driver against 8 weighted factors to find the optimal match for each booking. Factors include proximity to pickup, driver rating, current workload, vehicle match, route experience, client preference history, booking priority, and idle time rotation. On the Business plan, scoring weights and thresholds are configurable, so you can tune the algorithm to fit your operation. Other plans run the standard scoring profile.

The engine runs automatically every 5 minutes, picking up any unassigned confirmed bookings within the advance window (configurable on the Business plan). It can operate in two modes: auto (assigns immediately) or suggest (presents the top-ranked driver for dispatcher approval). Before assigning, the system re-checks that the driver has not gone offline since scoring, which prevents ghost assignments.

Airport pickups and corporate bookings are scored with higher priority, ensuring your best drivers handle your highest-value trips. A full dispatch attempt record is saved for every decision, including the complete scoring breakdown for each candidate driver.

Frequently asked questions

What happens if no driver is available?

When no driver meets the scoring thresholds (minimum rating, maximum distance, location freshness), the fallback action triggers, either notifying the owner or holding the booking for manual assignment. Business plan customers choose the fallback in dispatch settings; other plans use the default, which notifies the owner.

Can I still assign drivers manually?

Yes. Manual assignment is always available from the dispatch map or the booking detail page. The system validates vehicle buffer conflicts on manual assignments too, showing a conflict warning if the vehicle is already scheduled during that window.

How does client preference scoring work?

The system looks at the client's booking history and identifies drivers who have served that client before with good ratings. Drivers with a positive history with the client receive a higher client preference score, improving the chance of a consistent experience.
