The DrivOQ dispatch map gives you a live overhead view of your entire fleet. Driver pins update in real time as location data comes in via the driver mobile app and WebSocket connection. Each pin shows the driver's name, current status (available, en route, on trip, on break), and how recently their GPS was updated — stale locations are flagged clearly so you never rely on outdated data.
From the map, dispatchers can open any unassigned booking and manually assign it to a driver directly, without navigating away. Batch assignment tools let you assign multiple bookings at once during busy periods. How often does driver location update on the map?
Driver locations update in real time via WebSocket as GPS pings arrive from the driver mobile app. You can configure the maximum acceptable location age in dispatch settings — drivers whose GPS is older than that threshold are flagged as having a stale location.
Can dispatchers assign bookings from the map?
Yes. Clicking on an unassigned booking opens an assignment panel where you can select a driver from the available list. The system checks vehicle availability and buffer conflicts before confirming the assignment.
Does the map work on mobile?
Yes. The dispatch map is fully responsive and works on tablets and large phone screens. The layout adapts to give you the map and booking list in a stacked view on smaller screens.
