The approval workflow keeps payroll accurate: payroll records start as drafts that can be reviewed and adjusted before being approved. Once approved, the record is locked and can be used as the basis for payment. Managers with owner or admin roles can generate payroll records, review them, and mark them approved or paid.
Payroll records are linked directly to completed bookings, so every line item is traceable. Driver-level commission rates can be set individually, allowing different arrangements for contractors versus employees or senior versus junior drivers.

Payroll is organized into bi-monthly periods (1st through 15th and 16th through end of month). You generate payroll records manually at the end of each period, review them, and approve before processing payment.
Can I set different commission rates for different drivers?
Yes. Each driver's profile includes a commission rate field that is used when calculating their earnings for each pay period. This lets you set individual arrangements based on your agreements with each driver.
Are tips from bookings automatically included in payroll?
Yes. Tip amounts from completed bookings are aggregated into the driver's payroll record for the period. Gratuity amounts are tracked separately from commission so you can report on them independently.
