Activity Log and Audit Trail for Limo Operations

Every booking change, driver update, client edit, and AI-executed action is logged to an audit trail — with expandable change details and long-term archival.

DrivOQ maintains a comprehensive activity log covering 25+ action types across bookings, drivers, clients, vehicles, invoices, team management, and AI-executed actions. Every log entry records the user who performed the action, the entity type and ID affected, the action taken, and a detailed change log showing the before and after values for any field that was modified.

The activity log is accessible from the dashboard and supports filtering by entity type, user, and date range. Expandable detail rows let you drill into exactly what changed in a given update — useful for investigating discrepancies or reviewing what happened during a busy dispatch period.

Automatic archival moves older activity log entries to long-term storage on a rolling basis, keeping the active log fast while preserving the full history in long-term storage. AI assistant actions (such as driver assignments, booking status changes, and cancellations executed via the chat interface) are logged with the full confirmation payload, distinguishing them from manual user actions.

Frequently asked questions

Who can access the activity log?

The activity log is accessible to owners and admins. Dispatchers do not have access to the audit trail by default, as it contains sensitive change history across all entities in the company.

How long is activity log history retained?

Active log entries are retained for a configurable period before being archived. Archived entries are stored in a separate table for long-term retention. The exact retention periods follow the platform data retention policy.

Are changes made by the AI assistant logged?

Yes. Every action executed by the AI assistant (through the confirmation flow) is logged to the activity log with the action type, affected entity, user who confirmed the action, and the full payload that was executed.
