Team Management and Role-Based Access for Limo Companies

Invite dispatchers and admins by email, set their roles, activate or deactivate accounts, and control what each team member can see and do.

DrivOQ supports multi-user access with a role-based permission system. The company owner can invite team members by email, assigning them the admin or dispatcher role. Invited users receive an email with a secure link to set their password and activate their account — no manual account provisioning required.

Each role has a defined scope: owners have full access including billing and settings; admins can manage bookings, drivers, clients, and most operational features; dispatchers see the dispatch-focused views (bookings, map, drivers) without access to billing, settings, or sensitive financial data. The sidebar navigation filters automatically based on the logged-in user's role.

Owners can deactivate team member accounts at any time, immediately revoking their access. Deactivated accounts remain in the system for audit purposes but cannot log in. A deactivated account must be deactivated before it can be permanently deleted, enforcing a two-step process to prevent accidental data loss.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between admin and dispatcher roles?

Admins have broad operational access including client management, invoicing, driver payroll, and most settings. Dispatchers are focused on the operational side: bookings, the dispatch map, driver status, and real-time operations — without access to billing, company settings, or financial reports.

Can a dispatcher create new bookings?

Yes. Dispatchers can create, edit, and manage bookings. They can also assign drivers and update booking statuses. The restriction is on financial and company configuration features, not on day-to-day operational tasks.

What happens when I deactivate a team member?

Deactivating a team member immediately invalidates their session. They are logged out and cannot log back in. Their booking assignments and historical actions are preserved for audit purposes. The account can be reactivated at any time.
